Food for Thought | The Best Food in Davis Square

Looking for great food, but feeling a little bit tired of Dewick’s endless variety of high-quality cuisine? Here are some of the best stops you can make in or around Davis Square!

1.)  Anna’s Taqueria—Burritos and quesadillas to-go at low prices. If you’re feeling exceptionally hungry, you can get a superburrito or a superquesadilla, which is just slightly larger. On the flip side, if you’re trying to watch the calories, you can order a plate of beans, vegetables, and meat without the shell.


2.)  Dave’s Fresh Pasta—Dave’s features the best options for pasta and sandwiches in the vicinity. Though the hours of operation are a little bit hard to predict, it’s a great stop, if slightly pricey, for lunch or dinner off-campus.

Captured: Somerville Rising Flash Mob

Somerville Rising, an offshoot of the national campaign to end violence against women called One Billion Rising, held a dance flash mob last night in Davis Square. The event was designed for women to “speak up, dance, connect, and rise at the same time as cities from around the globe” according to its organizers.
