RAW: Natural Born Artists is an art organization that puts on showcases featuring indie artists ranging from photographers to performing artists to filmmakers to painters to makeup artists. These showcases, pictured below, happen monthly between the months of February and October in Boston and in 53 other cities. RAW seeks to help up and coming artists get their work out there. Check out some photos from last Sunday’s event!
The Pan-African Alliance organized a vigil last night to commemorate the loss of Trayvon Martin and many others who have died in racially motivated shootings.
Associate Professor in the American Studies Department Christina Sharpe spoke at the event.
TCU Senator Tabias Wilson shared his thoughts at the remembrance.
Many students gathered to express their grief.
Vassar College's Co-Director of Africana Studies and Contributing Editor to Gawker, Kiese Laymon, also was in attendance.
