The crooning ballad of Florence Welch entices the audience in the first dance in Sarabande’s fall show, a sign of the passionate performances to come as the night goes on. “A Night at the Barre” is a jam-packed evening of contemporary, modern, ballet pointe, and hip-hop dance routines by the all female dance company. The will be joined with guest performances by Envy, Blackout, Tufts Tap Ensemble, SoC, Bhangra, Tamasha, Pulse, Belly Dance, TDC, Irish, and New Age.

The Daily got to sit down with two choreographers, Ani Loshkajian and Liz Kim (both Class of ’14), to talk about their pieces, the show and the sense of sisterhood in the dance troupe.

Sarabande presents A Night at the Barre will be held on Thursday at 9PM and Saturday at 8PM. Tickets are available in the Cohen Box Office for free.
