“We don’t make your grandma’s grilled cheese.”

My grandmother never made grilled cheese, but that’s neither here nor there. There, in this case, being Roxy’s Gourmet Grilled Cheese, a food truck on the corner of Hemenway and Forsyth Street by Northeastern (although they have several locations). They feature cheeses ranging from Fontina to Vermont Cheddar, with eclectic combinations like “Mac and Chorizo” (exactly what it sounds like) and the “Green Muenster Melt” (muenster cheese, guacamole and applewood bacon). All are warm, fresh and made to order. And — as one might hope for or even expect — they offer tomato soup. I have never been quite sure how I feel about food trucks; The notion of catering to an on-the-go culture and the air of pretentiousness these wheeled establishments often appear to have make me uncomfortable. However, it’s a great way to bring interesting and quality grub to the streets. I myself hope to delve further into food truck culture, and if you happen to be stopping by the MFA, I’d definitely recommend checking this one out.
